"We’re happy repeat customers at Mikey’s Food Truck, where there’s always plenty of clean tables and convenient parking right on Hwy 28, just south of Apsley. Our go-to favorites are the cheeseburgers “dragged through the garden,” onion rings, and fries. The fries and rings are cooked just right, crispy, hot, and delicious. The burgers are generous in size, juicy, and full of flavor. The fish and chips, also, one of our favorites, are done in the classic English style, perfectly golden and satisfying. But the real standout is the fish tacos which we tried for the first time. Without a doubt the best we’ve ever had, absolutely crazy good. We are more often served by Dave, who is always friendly and greets every customer with a smile. We give Mikey’s Food Truck & !"

"Setting the stage for this review, it’s Friday and I pull of the water from a 4 day backcountry adventure in the Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park (we did the Serpentine Loop) with my 13 year old (her first adventure) and we feel right deserving of some delicious food. A quick Google search and we found Mikey D’s Fire’d Up Food Truck with great reviews. Food truck adventure… yabsolutely! Boy… the great reviews were on point! I had the pulled pork tacos and my daughter the crispy chicken sandwich, with a side of fries to try. The food was a great price, perfect filling portions (we couldn’t finish and hey… we were starving) and the flavours were delightful. Thanks so much for the meal. If you’re in the beautiful area of Apsley… you’ve gotta get yourself some. Even better - should be your first stop after Kawartha highlands PP trip!"

"Great experience! Food was fantastic - had the pulled pork sandwiches and their fries. The portions are great - especially the fries. And tasty! The service was great - very kind, enthusiastic, and you can tell they take care and pride in their work. They are also very grateful and happy to have you there. Going back!"

"We ended up stopping here on our way home from our Cottage trip over the long weekend. We were so impressed with the food, I had to make a page for them here. The Classic Poutine was seasoned! I have no idea with what but it made it so much better and I could have eaten two of these Large sizes! The gravy and Curds were great. My husband tried the cheeseburger and it looked Juicy and done right. We hope this will be here the next time we come through this area. Worth a stop to grab some tasty food. They have more offerings like Tacos, Onion Rings, fries, fish and chips and drinks, and more."

"Ordered a large poutine , regular poutine and a kids chicken nugget meal. We asked sizes before ordering and my partner and I decided it share a large because the container is huge. The fries were perfectly seasoned, the cheese curd was great, the gravy was a tad thin for my preference but it was the portion that was the only thing underwhelming. Most food truck poutines comes heaping, I think its similar in how much poutine you actually get between a regular and a large. If I had known, we would have ordered larges for each of us. Other than that, its a solid food truck . The one picture shoes the large and how much of the container is actually filled."

"The owners are incredibly lovely people who genuinely support the community. The food is delicious, the patio is dog-friendly, the staff have always been kind, and there's a beautiful river view what more could one ask for? I dream about the spiced fries all year long until I'm back in Apsley and can get my hands on some!"
